The #125 Hybrid Cello features a beautifully flamed back and sides and a fully carved spruce top. The Cello provides the warmth of a solid carved (top) sound board and the durability of laminated sides and back. This cello has solid ebony fittings and includes a padded bag and brazilwood bow. This is an excellent starter cello for beginners.

This cello is purchased by New York City Public Schools and is the most durable plywood cello that we offer. Its combination of aged laminates and highest quality solid wood necks and fittings produces an instrument that can endure the cooler climates and still produce a very pleasant tone.

This is the most traditional cello purchased for rental and school use. It offers the combination of durability of laminated construction and beauty with its veneered spruce top and flamed maple backs and ribs. Many schools prefer this model for its ease of playability and traditional appearance.

This amazing cello is handmade from loft dried tonewoods and hand varnished with spirit varnish. This cello is completely handmade with the only power tools being a bandsaw to roughcut the shape of the scroll. This cello is made by experienced violinmakers with excellent tonewoods that have slight visual imperfections. This is why we are able to offer such an exceptional instrument at this low price. You may notice slight mineral stains in the woods or tiny knots in the wood. These do not affect durability or playability. Many of these cellos have blemishes in the wood that are not detectable except by an expert. Cellos from this same workshop with flawless wood sell for $5,000.00. We our honored to be able to offer these cellos as rental instruments also. We believe this will become our most popular rental cello for 2011. This is the first year we have offered this model for rental.
