Amati 505

This model is professionally made in a small workshop of three makers. The annual production is less than 100 instruments. These are made from the highest flamed maple tonewoods and the most even grained spruce tonewoods. The varnish is applied in a natural looking antique appearance. Rich warm overtones and power are properties of this model. There are twelve layers to the varnish process and the maple on the back with the twelve layers of varnish create a three dimesional look like you can reach into the depth of the flamed maple. Suitable for High School players.

Conservatoire

The Conservatoire violin is made in the workshop of Xueping Hu; a silver award winning maker. This instrument is selected for its refined sound and beauty. Made from rare one piece flamed maple backs and tight even grained spruce that has been loft dried for a minimum of seven years. The antiqued oil varnish is artistically applied to appear two hundred years old. This violin also happens to be a favorite among irish fiddlers because of its dark robust sound. The production of this model is limited to 40pcs per year.

Grande

This model is for serious players hoping to play in college. This model would be acceptable to audition for college as a non performance major. This instrument is made from loft dried tonewoods that have been aged for a minimum of five years. During the aging process the sound deading resins evaporate from the wood and the instrument is lighter in weight and the plates vibrate easier. Beautiful German varnishes are hand applied in an artistic pallet for these advanced instruments. Many teachers of advanced students personally select this model for their students. Retention rate at this level nears 100%.
